Ketone is a form of acid produce in body that use your fats as energy source. Low carbs diet increases the amount of ketone. High level of ketone cause ketoacidosis, which has negative effect on the body. It can be very dangeroud for the diabetics and they should have medical advice when low carb diet is introduced.
